Moore BOUNCERS Have Arrived

All of our participants have arrived safely in Moore! All of them appear to be excited to spend the week aiding Moore residents in long-term disaster recovery. We welcomed 150 students through the doors of Emmaus Baptist Church. We have a total of six churches that brought BOUNCERS this week. The churches participating are Baptist Temple of San Antonio, First Baptist Church Cisco, First Baptist Church El Paso, First Baptist Church Ponder, McQueeny Baptist Church and South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena.

Groups drove for hours to get here and were excited to finally arrive in Moore. They are eager to encounter God this week and to see what will unfold in the city this week.

Upon arrival students settled into their rooms and then went to the BOUNCE BASH, which is an energetic time to meet BOUNCE staff, sing, play games and meet other BOUNCERS. Students also had an opportunity to meet their ministry worksite team they'll be serving with this week. The worksite teams are made up of students from all the different churches who are attending BOUNCE this week. The evening concluded with a worship service. Worship Speaker David Scott spoke about the life of the Apostle Peter this week and will continue to do so each night.

Ministry teams will be up before the sun tomorrow to eat breakfast, be commissioned and head out into the city to restore hope to residents. There will be a wide variety of projects including roofing, painting, fencing, landscaping and clearing brush. We're expecting very hot weather this week, so pray for the health of all of our BOUNCERS. Pray that the lives of students, adults, homeowners and community members will be changed as a result of Christ's love being reflected this week!
