BOUNCERS woke up early this morning to eat breakfast and kick off their day with GO TIME! Go Time is a brief meeting where BOUNCERS all meet together in the parking lot at the lodging facility, are prayed for and sent off to begin work. A total of six ministry teams consisting of over 70 students and leaders went out into Mineral Wells to reflect the love of Christ through their service.
Kayla Kemp, a 17 year-old from FBC Copperas Cove said that she hopes that this week strengthens her relationship with God. She also hopes to strengthen her friendships with her Christian Friends. There are young children at the house next door to her worksite and she hopes she will be able to witness to them.
BOUNCERS got a great start on their worksites here in Mineral Wells today. Despite the heat, students worked hard and accomplished a lot on their sites. Students tore shingles off of roofs, scraped paint and some even demolished an old porch and began to build a new one. Lunch today and for the rest of the week is being provided by several churches in the Mineral Wells area. Lunch is accompanied each day by a student-led devotional.
The day concluded with a great night of worship. Worship speaker Randy Beggs talked about who Jesus truly was. He encouraged students to really consider their answer to that question. The service ended with a response time in which students were able to write down a word or phrase that described Jesus to them.
BOUNCERS are looking forward to resting tonight so they can be ready to go back out tomorrow and continue reflecting Christ to the city of Mineral Wells!
