Bouncers have had a great week here in Kingwood, TX! Students have been hard at work helping homeowners bounce back from Hurricane Harvey. While it is almost a year later, homeowners are still trying to recover from the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. The work that students have been doing this week will have a lasting impact in this community. A majority of the Bouncers are from the Houston area, and so the work they have done this week has been deeply personal for them. Our hope is that students would continue to live pour into their communities and love their neighbor even after this week ends.
Carlos Francis, the Worship Speaker, closed out the week by reminding students to be obedient to the voice of God by sharing the gospel with those that God has placed in their life. Carlos warned students that there would be hardships ahead, because following Christ comes with a cost. However, Carlos reminded students that they have victory because Christ has already conquered the world. Carlos closed out the night with the chant, "I believe that we will win." Because students have victory through Christ, they should not be afraid to share Christ with others. Students have been poured into this week at Bounce during times of worship and Bible study, and they are now ready to be sent back out into their hometowns to be witnesses to Christ.
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37
We praise God for the three students who gave their life to Christ this week. We pray that God would continue to work in their lives!
Bounce is so thankful for the students who chose to give up a week of their summer to work long hours in the heat with the goal of rebuilding communities, restoring hope and reflecting Christ. It has been a productive week and we hope to see everyone again next year!
